Hi, I’m Ellie — a theatre maker, imagination facilitator, performance coach, mentor, and storyteller.
I live in the UK and I design creative experiences for curious humans.

For over 15 years, I’ve worked as a creative freelancer — helping people of all ages connect with their imagination, express themselves with confidence, and discover joy in the process of making something meaningful.

✨ Why I Do This Work

I believe in what I do — and I do it because:

💫 Creativity builds self-esteem
🎨 Imagination is intelligence having fun
🎭 Play is not a luxury — it’s fundamental to living

...and most importantly, because I love what I do.

🛠 What I Do

My work takes many forms — but it all centres around helping people express themselves, explore new ideas, and feel more connected to their creative voice.

  • I design and run creative workshops like Wondermakers, Adventure Game, and Play in a Week

  • I mentor adults in rediscovering their creativity — with warmth, curiosity, and encouragement

  • I coach professionals to speak with clarity and presence — from boardrooms to stages

  • I direct, perform, and write theatre that’s joyful, story-rich, and rooted in connection

🎭 My Creative Journey

Over the years, I’ve had the joy of wearing many creative hats:

  • As an actor: I’ve performed with immersive theatre companies like Gingerline and Les Enfants Terribles

  • As a director: I’ve brought new work to festivals including Not Quite Light, National Theatre Connections, and Croydonites

  • As a creative educator: I’ve taught everything from A-Level Drama to Early Years storytelling — and worked as a facilitator with the Shakespeare Schools Festival

  • As a mentor: I’ve supported people aged 16–73 to make meaningful progress on their creative goals — from stage debuts to sound installations

  • As a performance coach: I’ve helped both aspiring and working actors prepare for auditions, performances, and LAMDA qualifications

  • As a multimedia artist: I’ve created short stories, digital illustrations, and educational videos — blending image, voice, and story across formats

🎓 Training & Credentials

  • BA (Hons) Drama – University of Manchester

  • Acting Training – The Actors Class

  • Playwriting Courses – Royal Exchange Theatre and Wilton’s Music Hall

  • Drama Facilitation Training – National Youth Theatre

  • Safeguarding – Up-to-date Enhanced DBS | Most recent training: April 2025

🌟 A Few Fun Things About Me

  • My favourite play is Dr Faustus by Christopher Marlowe — dark, dazzling, and full of questions.

  • I love immersive theatre — especially when it includes themed food. (Great British Menu is my guilty pleasure.)

  • A quote I try to live by:

“I did then what I knew how to do. Now that I know better, I do better.” — Maya Angelou

  • As a kid, I once won a colouring-in competition at McDonald’s and received a bright red plastic briefcase full of crayons. Iconic.
