What is Wondermakers?
Wondermakers is a premium, private theatre-making experience for children and young people — designed and delivered by me, Ellie Scanlan — a theatre-maker, performer, and creative facilitator with 15+ years of experience in immersive storytelling and drama education.
Across five to seven days, I guide a small group of children to create, rehearse, and perform their very own original play. We dream up characters, build the story, design costume elements and props, and bring it all to life in a joyful final performance for friends and family.
It’s imaginative, collaborative, confidence-boosting — and most importantly, incredibly fun.
About the Facilitator

Hi, I’m Ellie — the founder of Wondermakers.
I’m a theatre-maker, performer, and creative facilitator based in the UK, with over 15 years’ experience designing imaginative, confidence-building experiences for children, young people, and adults.
I’ve worked across schools, festivals, theatres, and private homes — always with the same goal in mind: to help people express themselves boldly, playfully, and with joy.
Wondermakers brings together everything I love — storytelling, creativity, collaboration — and I feel incredibly lucky to guide children through this process of building their own original play.

A final day performance (you choose the audience — parents, siblings, or a full holiday house!)

Pre-arrival consultation to align on logistics, space, and schedule

Post-show Imagination Activities Pack to keep the creativity going.
Please note: filming or photography of the final performance can be arranged by the host family if desired.
Pricing

£3,500 for a 5-day experience
£4,500 for a 7-day experience

Every Wondermakers experience is custom-designed to suit your family, your space, and your children's unique creative spark.
Pricing is based on group size, location, and workshop duration — with preparation, planning, and materials included. Travel and accommodation costs are calculated separately depending on where in the world the magic is taking place.
